Enviromental Management Plan
An EMP is established to ensure the environmental issues have been identified and that there are systems in place to manage those issues throughout the rehabilitation process. The EMP is represented by the following components:
- management commitment and responsibilities (Section 4.2);
- training and induction processes (Section4.3);
- measurement and evaluation (Section4.4);
- management review and improvement (Section 4.5);
- environmental issues identification (Section 5); and
- implementation of environmental management strategies (Section 6).
Environmental management strategies have been developed for application to all sites included within the program. Pipeline sections previously identified as being located within sensitive environments will require additional site specific safeguards. Additional management strategies for sensitive areas will be included as an addendum to the EMP.
