National Pant and Maintenance Manager

As one of Australia’s leading pipeline renewal companies Kembla continues to expand its suite of trenchless technology products and services, and seeks an experienced Plant and Maintenance Manager to join our Head Office Team, based in South Strathfield, Sydney. 

 Kembla Watertech has been active in the pipeline rehabilitation industry since 1993 and has a team of over 150 experienced and trained personnel, who operate an enviable suite of products and services from around the world customised to meet unique Australian conditions. 

 Kembla is currently seeking an experienced person to successfully enhance the acquisition, development, maintenance and performance of the entire fleet of vehicles, plant and specialised equipment utilised by the company. 

 Responsibilities will include development of plant and equipment specifications, cost control, proactive maintenance management, analysis of performance, health and safety, purchasing, technology development, compliance and reporting. 

 Success in this role will be achieved by ensuring that systems are in place to manage all aspect of plant and equipment operation, reliability and efficiency. 

 Criteria

•        High level communication skills
•        Strong organisation and planning skills
•        High level of mechanical aptitude and experience
•        A degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent is desirable
•        Experienced in managing a significant and diverse fleet of plant and equipment
•        Strong documentation and specification focus
•        Training and influencing skills
•        Knowledge of Trenchless products and processes
•        Attention to detail
•        Problem solving skills
•        Team work
•        Good understanding of transport and construction industry equipment
•        German language skills are desirable
•        Ability to travel periodically
