M-Coating

Description of Process
The M-Coating system enables round and rectangular shafts to be cleaned and coated fully automatically. The specially deigned centrifugal spray unit enables the shaft walls to be coated to any realistic thickness.  The process requires no entry into the shaft during either the cleaning or coating operation. This is a major OH&S advantage.

Typical Applications
Suitable for concrete access chambers and wet wells.

Installation
Cleaning: The specially designed rotating cleaning nozzle (the TSSR unit) is coupled to a high pressure water pump delivering 39,000 kPa (5600psi) to enable thorough cleaning of the walls prior to coating.

Coating:  The coating process is based on an integrated system consisting of a mixer, a pump and a  centrifugal spray head.  All three components are fully automated.

The centrifugal spray is attached to the gantry mounted winch and is guided up and down inside the shaft at a constant rate so that a standard thickness of mortar is applied in each pass.

The number of passes determines the coating thickness.

The mortar can also be applied overhead to platforms and to benching when required.

Available Sizes
The M Coating system is suitable for concrete structures from 500mm to 3000mm diameter.

Materials
The M Coating system is suitable for a range of corrosion protection mortars including normal and calcium aluminate cement and aggregrate mix.
