Flexiliner

Description of Process
Flexiliner provides a solution to the structural renovation requirements of the complete length of House Service Lines (HSL’s) using a single process without the need for excavation.

Typical Applications
Major cities and towns have millions of private and commercial premises connected to their sewer reticulation systems, and problems with blocked and faulty HSL’s are a major problem for both the authorities and the property owners.

Installation
Using the house inspection opening (IO) or boundary trap (BT) as the no-dig access point, the Flexiliner system installs a structural liner through the entire length of the existing pipe including all bends and boundary traps.  The Flexiliner tube is inserted into the pipe by a Liner Gun that can be set up in even the tightest of access situations.  The tube is held tight against the existing pipe until the epoxy resin has completely hardened.  The excess resin placed into the lining at the impregnation stage is squeezed into cracks, open joints and around the connection to the main lining.  As a final step, branches and vent lines on the HSL are reinstated using robotic cutters.  The connection of the HSL lining to the main sewer is trimmed flush to finish the installation.  Special mini-boiler units accelerate the curing process to enable two installations per day.

Available Sizes
HSL’s are generally 100mm and 150mm in diameter and larger diameters can be relined with this system, however Kembla’s other lining systems such as EX Method, SWP DiaFit and Enviroliner are more applicable in larger diameters.

Materials
The liner is constructed of a special seamless tubular material impregnated with a silicate resin.
