Tiger T & Top Hat Systems

Description of Process
Most authorities are now requiring that all branch connections be sealed as part of the main sewer rehabiitation work.  Kembla offers two systems – Tiger T and TopHat –  for the sealing and repair of pipe connections up to and including the first pipe joint.

Typical Applications
Sealing and repair of 100mm+  diameter pipe branch connections.

Installation
The resin impregnated Tiger T or Top Hat patch is placed over a purpose built packer.   The patch is transported into the sewer  and positioned at the location of the connection using a small camera or other means.   The packer is inflated under air pressure which positions the  seal out and into the branch connection.  It is held in this position until the resin has hardened and then the packer is deflated and retrieved.

Available Sizes
Tiger T is available to suit pipe diameters  150mm, 225mm and 300mm.
Top Hat seals are available to suit diameters 375mm to 750mm.

Materials
A fibrous material sheet or tube is manufactured into the shape of each particular size of Tiger T or Top Hat.  This fibrous material is impregnated with a silicate resin.
